A bespoke wake park is being built specifically for this competition.
The competition is part of the Cholomondeley Power & Speed Festival
65,000 people are expected to attend and attractions include the race track, supercars, beer festival tents, comedy tents, funfair and onsite camping.
Festival info:

The Cholmondeley Power and Speed event is easily accessible from all routes, and there will be highly visible local signage providing additional directions during the festival weekend. Please note that the A49 between Whitchurch and Ridley will only be open for event and local traffic.

The Cholmondeley Power & Speed Festival takes place at Cholmondeley Castle (postcode for Sat Nav is SY14 8AH), which is situated on the A49, the main North-South route from Warrington to Shrewsbury. There are excellent links to the motorway network.

Travelling South on the M6, take the Chester M56 at junction 9 and then A49 South at junction 10. Please follow signs for Gate 3.

Travelling North from Birmingham on the M6, take the M54 to junction 3 and then A41 North to Whitchurch. Then A49 from Whitchurch to Cholmondeley. Please follow signs for Gate 3.

The Competition is a part of coordinated competitions around the world. The competition will be carried out according to the rules of the IWWF Cable Wakeboard World Council.

All entrants must be a member of the British Waterski and Wakeboard Federation, or their national federation.

Competition Page:

There will be a riders campsite at the Cholomondeley Power and Speed Festival site. This will be next to the lake and is free of charge. You will need to bring a tent or camper van with you. The riders camp site will include toilets and showers.

Provisional Schedule: (subject to change based on number of participants)
Friday 10th June:
Practice Sessions – 2pm to 6pm

Saturday 11th June:
10am – Rider Briefing
11:30am to 1pm – Head 2 Head Qualifying Rounds
3pm to 4:30pm – Head 2 Head Finals (start with 16 riders)

Sunday 12t June:
11:30am to 1pm – Big Air Jam
3pm to 4:30pm – Big Air Jam
5pm – Prize Giving

The Course:
The course is designed by Industry Wake Parks, who have designed and built the Red Bull Harbour Reach course for the last 5 years, Wakestock features and pool gap for the last 10 years and many more events from a grassroots level up to an international level.
Due to the event only hosting the Open category, the course will be challenging, unique and aimed only for advanced / open riders.

Competition Format:
No Air Tricks
Features only competition
Heats of 2 riders, 1 rider advances
Qualifying rounds will be run to select 16 riders
Once we have 16 riders, this is when the head to head format starts
Format for qualifying rounds will be decided once all entries are in
In each heat, a rider gets 2 passes of the park, with 1 pickup
